Tips Anyone Can Do to Protect Themselves from Inflation

Updated: Jun 7, 2022

Inflation is affecting us but there are ways to protect your wallet.

A book titled "Inflation Survival Guide"

  1. Do a weekly budget check. Don’t wait until the end of the month to check your spending and realize you’ve gone over your budget.

  2. Unplug appliances when you’re not using them to save on energy costs.

  3. Be strategic on using your car to save on gas. Meal plan ahead of time to save on trips to the store.

  4. Shop carefully. Buy in bulk and buy off brand products to save on the essentials. You can also buy groceries online, where you are less likely to be sucked into buying something you don’t need.

  5. Don’t accumulate credit card debt. Interest rates are high right now which means you will be paying a lot more back.

  6. Don’t stop saving for retirement. Over time, inflation will continue to grow and you’ll want to have a nest egg.
